Founded in 1981 and one of the leading institutions in providing qualified human resources for agroindustrial sector in Indonesia, the Department of Agroindustrial Technology (DAT) is an outstanding place to pursue a higher degree or professional education. DAT is one of the departments within the Faculty of Agricultural Technology with core competence in developing technology and management for agroindustry. DAT emerged as a solution to anticipate the fast growing agroindustrial sector, which no doubt requires a variety of expertise and disciplines.
DAT takes its main field agroindustry, the forefront for shifting agricultural commodities into industrial products so as to create strong bound between agriculture and industry. DAT seeks efforts to make this transformation becomes reality by delivering a quality education in agroindustry to help graduates with all necessary skills.
DAT offers education programs that implement the application of science and technology which integrate human, equipment, material, energy, money and information to utilize agricultural resources to allow industrial development. As a higher education institution in agroindustry, DAT offers even more cooperative partnership with industry in the forms of:

In order to maintain its competence for partnership, DAT comprises itself with three streams of interest including industrial engineering and management, process and bioprocess technology, and environmental management and technology. In strengthening its core, DAT possesses seven physical laboratories, two instrument laboratories, an engineering drawing studio, training facilities, classrooms, and pilot project for teaching industry, business incubation, and pilot plant.
